Trees to Green: Alam Impian, Shah Alam
The next phase of Trees to Green was for the 31-acre central park in Alam Impian™. The campaign was to plant 1,545 forest trees of various forest species (measuring 18 to 20 feet high) to increase the density of lush greenery within the landscape. 45 different forest species was planted such as the Merawan, Jelutong, Surian, Kelat, Penaga Lilin and Salam, the landscape has been vastly improved and many of these trees will grow from 40 feet to 60 feet in height upon maturity.
The project has been fully completed in July 2015 with almost 1,700 trees being planted todate. I&P Group will continue to nurture the trees. It is our hope that the park will one day be the main reference area for the general public to get to know the various forest species in an urban environment.
The Park named, ‘Taman Idaman’ was graced by DYMM Sultan Sharafudin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah on May 3, 2012.
